In 2010 I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl but what I didn’t realize is just how much my life would change. When you have a child you know that things can go wrong you read other people’s stories you listen to your mom tell you her stories but you still just don’t understand it till it happens to you I knew things could go wrong but I still never thought it would actually happen to me until at 2 month old my daughters eye where in constant movement until she wasn’t holding her head up or playing with toys until she wasn’t crawling or walking until she wasn’t sleeping waking up screaming like she was in so much pain I never thought in a million years I would be a mom let alone a special needs mom my daughter has changed my life in so many ways has opened my eyes to a world that 6 7 10 years ago I was so afraid of she showed me how not to be afraid how to love in so many different ways her name is October she is my daughter my light my angel she was diagnosed in 2013 with a rare disease called pelizaeus-merzbacher like disease and we have stood together we have fought together we will fight together because together we can make a difference we are strong and we will never give up I brought her in to the world and she showed me what life is all about I will never give up on her nor will she give up on herself or me
