The story of Michal
My name is Michal. I was born in 1991. I have spinal muscular atrophy, but I don’t care so much about it, others have to care about me… I have the sense of humour, I like making jokes about myself and my disease. I love life and I enjoy every day. Reading or writing wasn’t my special hobby. However, somehow it happened. I felt a lot of inspiration, I felt like sharing it with others, I felt like writing book. And I didn’t stop by finishing the first one. Since now I published three books: a series: Second chance and Real face. The third book is named At the interface of two worlds. All of them are sci-fi stories with an unexpected end. I love music. I spend more than 5 hours listening music. Together with my family and friends around me, this is my inspiration. Already 10th year I use non-invasive positive pressure ventilation BiPap. Although I need my assistants, family, friends to move, eat, to be active I can write on my own. Being on my own, without any help creates a lot of space to dream. And I enjoy dreaming, my fantasy is really big.  I dream about inspiring people, I dream about having my books translated into other languages, I dream about being healthy, I dream about equal access to treatment for all patients with SMA, independently on the country they live in, I dream about being cured.
