The story of Malcolm

In Jan. of 2012 I went into the hospital with a heart attack of the widow maker and was told I was lucky that I had only a 10% chance of surviving without immediate medical attention. After surgery I was told I had a touch of Pneumonia and would have to stay longer, while I was walking around to keep it from getting worse I told my wife I could not continue I was so tired. Walking back to my bed I started to cough up blood, I was then put on a ventilator and oxygen on max I believe 20ml. I was declining, so they put on a new machine that had just arrived the month before. I was the first to use it but, I would have to be put into a coma and paralyzed so the machine could pump my lungs 300 times per minute. My wife was told I had a 10% chance to pull through. It took two weeks of antibiotics but finally started to recover. while recovering I had heard from GM to come to work for them. I was unable and had to file for disability. Almost 5 years later and I have been diagnosed with U.I.P. a scarring of the lungs, I have to wear oxygen if I walk more than 300 feet and at bedtime. This almost a year after being diagnosed and I am finally getting close to getting some medication to help slow it. The problem now is the medication $8,000 a month just to slow it down, not a cure. But I left it in the Lord’s hands before and I am still here so who knows what God has planned for the future.
