The story of Tonya
I began having lower back and leg pain with numbness in 2016. I went to a local ER and the Dr got aggravated with me because I refused to take medications without a diagnosis. He basically said I was noncompliant and he was treating my symptoms not a diagnosis. The pain continued for months. I went to my PCP and requested an MRI. It took months for my insurance to approve the test. Two years later my diagnosis is Tarlov. At times the pain is a bit much but I ignore it the best I can and continue on with life. I will soon see a neurosurgeon. Still hopeful for my future! I am a Nurse and it’s who I am. I’m use to taking care of others, leaves little time to worry about myself.
