The story of Cesar
2015/16 I was diagnosed with what’s known as a Syrinx (syringomyelia). I’ve had multiple surgeries on my hands and wil be undergoing additional surgery for my elbows due to nerve entrapment. I have all the clinical signs and symptoms of what you would expect to see in a patient whom suffering from the this rare disease as I come to find out.
But, yet again providers that have taken me under their care have been very unfamiliar with the disease. They believe that a small syringomyelia should not be causing any neurological symptoms! For example what happens to a water hose when it’s kinked, obstructed 0%?,1%, 2%, 3% or 100% it will cause a disturbance in the flow of fluid.
Syringomyelia is like a badder, it expands and so the syringomyelia can also expand when fluid goes in there. I am new to this but not to medicine as I have been in the medical field for over 25 years and now that I’m on this ther side f the ine. It is certainly difficult and frustrating when it’s said to be Al in your head, anxiety etc… Wei let me tell you this, I’m the patient and I’m the one that has been struggling day in and day out to just make it through the day. It’s not always the same.
