Zellweger syndrome is a rare congenital disorder characterized by the reduction or absence of functional peroxisomes in the cells of an individual. It is one of a family of disorders called Zellweger spectrum disorders which are leukodystrophies.
Sophia was diagnosed at the age of 8 months, but other then that she is a bubbly and happy little girl. She is the light of our lives and gave mummy and daddy a beautiful outlook on life. She’s a fighter and is still fighting till this day. She’s the life of our family and has a large family that adores her.
