The story of Vanessa

Born, as our first-born, we were so happy with Jarne. 3 months later we saw he was not responding in the way another baby would do. His head was ‘hanging’ the whole time. Lots of hospitals to visit, lots of possible diagnoses… When he was 10 months, he had is first strike of epilepsy. Only when he has fever, this came along… He reached the age of 26 months when he started to ‘walk’ (4 times kiné a week).
On the 12th of may 2017 they discovered that what makes him like he is, he has a problem on the PIGN-gen. He was the first one in Belgium and dispite for us, they don’t seem to know a lot about this… I’m grateful for who he is; he is a happy young man… who will mentally never grow up. physically difficult: he needs to wear diapers, walking is not that easy, he cannot speak… but he is happy: that’s all that matters to me 😉Â
