Over coming

The story of Brianna

For anyone who is struggling with their rare disease. At the age of 16 I was diagnosed  with Myositis, an autoimmune disorder that attacks my muscles. This was very difficult for me at the time. I couldn’t walk and even the smallest task (for example brushing my hair) was nearly impossible. All my life I was able to do anything I wanted but now my OWN body was failing me. The disease was forcing me to stay in bed. I wasn’t allowed to run or dance like I loved doing and I quickly fell into a depressive state. Over time and with the help of loads of medicine I was able to start doing what I loved. I now feel like a “normal person”. I don’t have pain anymore and although there is no cure I am so greatful that there is treatment. I have overcome both physical and emotional struggles because I know, and I hope this helps you that God gives the biggest struggles to his strongest soldiers!
