My personal fight against ATAXIA

The story of Christopher DeHaven

My Name is Christopher John DeHaven, and I would like to share my life and what I see going on in the world.
This is the story of my life growing up and living with a very rare form of Ataxia. I’m taking notes of everything that is going on in the World while I’m still breathing…giving my opinion about what I see daily, and I hope that it helps the Present and even Future Generations by opening the eyes of teenagers, adults and parents, and even teachers so they start noticing, talking to, and really listening to their kids and children in schools before assuming something is wrong. In this short story or book, I reflect on many things
throughout my life, some good, bad, crazy, and even those “What was I thinking?” moments. I say exactly how I feel about life, and I share the power of the human mind—as my body starts to break down, I begin losing some senses, but other are heightened. By sharing two short stories that I truly believe happened, but I have been told otherwise, and a Bible School song that I have not heard in almost forty years.
Most of the public think that we (Disabled People) just get in the way, but I’m here to tell them all: “Get out of our way!”
