The story of Gabby
I’m 13 years old. I was born with a disease myofibular myopathy. I was never supposed to walk, but I did, differently. I would shift my weight from side to side to pull myself forward. This caused me to get scoliosis and later a spinal infusion. That operation has left me wheelchair bound since. There is no cure for my disease because it is extremely rare in children.
