The story of Malerie

I was born with PCDH19 epilepsy. When I was 18 months old, I had over 150 seizures. I went into the hospital and they had to put me in a man made coma. My parents had me in many hospitals. My parents found the right medical treatment for me to stop having seizures. The last time I had a seizure, I was 12 years old because the doctors tried to take me off of my medications to see if I grown out of them or not. Then they put me back on my medications. I haven’t had a seizure since. I’m 22 years old, and still lives with PCDH19 epilepsy. I was diagnosed with PCDH19 epilepsy when I was 17 years old.
