The story of Kylar
During my sophomore/junior years of high school, I spent most of my time trying to find a diagnosis to explain all the pain I was constantly in. I became depressed and I spent months in and out of the hospital. I finally was diagnosed with Behcet’s Disease and started on a medication, which worked until it didn’t. Several months later, I was back in the hospital. I am now on medicine that works, and I have been healthy (or as healthy as I can be on an immunosuppressant) for five months! I’m lucky to have a great rheumatologist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
