The story of Kate-Lynn
My Name is Kate-Lynn Bagley. I’m 30 Years Old and i’ve been ill for 4 1/2 Years. I have an Ultra-Rare Disease called “Schnitzler’s Syndrome” or SchS. There are only 281 Cases around the World and as a group we believe the number of patients will increase with the more awareness about our disease.
Diagnostic Criteria for Schnitzler’s Syndrome
Obligate Criteria
Chronic Urticarial Rash
Monoclonal IgM or IgG
Minor Criteria
Recurrent Fever
Objective findings of abnormal bone remodelling with or without bone pain.
A neutrophilic dermal infiltrate on skin biopsy
Leukocytosis and/or elevated CRP
Definite Diagnosis if:
Two obligate criteria AND at least two minor criteria if IgM, and three minor criteria if IgG.
Probable diagnosis if:
Two obligate criteria AND at least one minor criteria if IgM, and two minor criteria if IgG.
Treatment:
Anakinra or Illaris
