The story of Suzanne
I had a very traumatic first pregnancy. I found out I was pregnant at 4 weeks, and at 5 weeks I got extremely ill. After multiple trips to the ER they kept saying it was just normal pregnancy symptoms. By week 9, I had lost 24 pounds and couldn’t keep anything down.
I finally was approved to go to a GI Dr and he told me my gallbladder had to come out ASAP. So at 10 weeks pregnant I had to sign a waiver that if anything would happen to my baby during surgery we understood. As first time parents we were terrified. Thankfully my daughter came through fine, and not only was I suffering from Gallbladder Disease, I also had chronic appendicitis and an abscess between my appendix and gallbladder.
I thought the worst was over, and then I had a placenta praevia scare, high blood pressure that we had to medicate, and high risk doctor appointments weekly. When I was 35 weeks, the itching began. I started not sleeping, scratching my skin until it was almost bleeding and was more miserable than ever. I called my doctor with the new symptom and he send me immediately for the BA test. At 36.3 I was diagnosed and at 37 I began my induction. At 37.3 I delivered a very healthy 7lb 4oz little girl, who has been very healthy. She is totally #worththeitch.Â
