The story of Megan
I was normal when I was born, I was you normal healthy baby.
I played softball for about 7 years, up until the fall of 2018. That was the time I started to show signs of hip and back issues. For about a month my family doctor told me to be careful on the softball field and that they diagnosed me with arthritis. Not until about November 2018 did I go to Columbus Children’s Hospital to see what was really wrong, because it was a problem more and more everyday. I went to Hospital and my doctor immediately looked at me and my mom standing side by side (she has it too) and she immediately knew what I might of had ,SEDC. She said I cannot play softball anymore, which crushed me more then my pain. But I knew it was best. I had blood tests done, and soon after that and they proved that I have SEDC. I am yet to get a surgery. My mom has had two full hip replacements at the age of 33. I am still on an adventure. I hope the adventure ends well ~Megan
