The story of Kaitlyn
Our sweet Hudson is our second baby. He has an older sister born 15 months earlier. She was a very fussy and colicky baby. We were prepared for the same when Hudson came. However, he was easy to care and love for. He made me feel reassured with his smiles and easygoing personality. He was and is still brings us joy even if it’s accompanied with sorrow. He was not reaching milestones and that was a red flag. However we were reassured by friends and professionals that babies develop in their own time. A week before his passing at 5 1/2 months old he stopped doing tummy time and would become fatigued. The nurse said he is going through a phase. The day before he wasn’t interested in feeding but would make wet diapers that would be considered normal. That night he passed away. Hudson’s legacy of bringing joy into this world is accompanied with being a part of a research study. He is moving mountains while in Heaven. He motivates us every day as we want to honor Hudson.
