The story of Charlie
Malakai was diagnosed with Goldberg-shprintzen Megacolon syndrome just before his 2nd birthday. He has many characteristics of the syndrome and as a parent I found it very difficult to get information of the rare syndrome so I began a facebook page to search for people with the syndrome.
Malakai has needed many surgeries open heart surgery was the biggest scariest one! But malakai is always so brave and once on the mend is back to his usual happy, cheeky self!
Malakai has many dreams when he is an adult and wants to be a firefighter with his best friend!
Malakai is my hero and I admire his strength and courage for everything he has to battle with daily, the way he takes it in his stride is amazing and it’s a privilege to be his mum
