The story of Richelle
I was diagnosed with Collagonous Gastritis when I was 9. I was the first person in Australia to be diagnosed with it.
With Collagonous Gastritis the collagen layer of your stomach is to thick and resembles a mountain range that internally bleeds. The top layer of cells of your stomach (where your immune system is) are missing. Due to my stomach condition and the amount of internal bleeding that comes with I am anemic and I don’t absorb food so I’m constantly malnushrised.
Through me they have found the first treatment plan in the world for Collagonous Gastritis, they can control it and keep it under check with monthly infusions of IVIG and constant prednisone.
