Fighter

The story of Jenna

When I was around 14/15 years old, I was diagnosed with scoliosis. At that time, I was riding horses and loved it, so with a diagnosis like that, I was told I needed to stop riding. That was devastating. After years of chiropractic and orthopedic care, a few years ago I was diagnosed with Klippel-Feil Syndrome (KFS). KFS is a rare disease in which 2 of the 7 vertebrae in my neck are fused together, from birth, and that is what basically caused my scoliosis curve. When I found out that I had been born with this, I was definitely shocked and confused. Since that day, I have fought for my voice with this rare disease, and though I do have setbacks and experience pain almost daily, I know that if I continue to work on getting better, I will get there.
