When I was 27years old I was diagnosed with Brugada Syndrome. It is a rare, but potentially life-threatening heart rhythm disorder which is sometimes inherited. I have lost my father and grandma due to sudden cardiac arrests so the doctors decided to test the whole family (aunties,cousins,siblings etc..) but only I came out positive to having Brugada. Now I have to completey change my lifestyle by avoiding certain medications,no alcahol,no binge eating,no intense exercising etc…I am now undergoing annual check ups but nothing can be done further to cure it…it’s something I have to live with.
