The story of Ava
Ava is 2 and half and has a rare genetic lung condition which has made her oxygen dependant since she was weeks old her lungs are like frosted glass and she has early on set of fibrosis. She’s on a few medication to try help slow down the disease but nothing has helped and now requires a double lung transplant. Children with SP-C prognosis is 3-5 years. She is a fiery happy bundle of joy and doesn’t let this horrible illness defeat her. She is determined and stubborn and hopefully one day she will be oxygen free and even more fierce. She is peg/jej fed over night as her lungs burn all her calories.
