At least “Hard to Pronounce Disease” Day

The story of Latayne

Well, I guess a four-person family that has had an eosinophilic granuloma, Epstein Barr, Hashimotos, pulmonary emboli, necrotizing pancreatitis, aortic stenosis, Clostridium difficile and Proteus mirabilis infections, and three variants of Guillian Barre Syndrome (demylineating, profoundly severe axonal, and Bickerstaff’s encephalitis) can qualify for a poster family for Rare Disease Day. Or at least, Hard to Pronounce Disease Day. And praise God, we’re all still alive!
