The story of Angelo
On April 14, 2009 my wife and I had a baby girl named Alle Shea Collazo. Alle was born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI) type 2. We have never heard of OI till that day and it really sunk in when we saw Alle’s x-rays, she had broken an arm, wrist, legs, ribs and her skull had many cracks. Alle passed away in my arms on May 21, 2009, It was the first time in her short 5 weeks of life that I got to hold Alle without cushions and padding between us. We promised Alle as she left us that we will keep her fight alive and raise awareness of the disease Osteogenesis Imperfecta. We have sacrificed a lot and sold just about all we could so we keep our little charity alive to the point we are just making it. Many people ask us why do it if you are having financial problems and I all I can say is them is you will never understand why we do it and I hope you never have to understand. We started to collect Beanie Babies and send them to children all over the world who have the same disease as our daughter, and through Alle we are making children happy all over the globe.
