The story of Madeleine
Alejandro, my first son was born with Hirschprungs Disease.
Within a day we noticed he hadn’t passed any stool and was vomiting bile, along with his stomach being distended. Within day four of life he had to have a stoma. Four months later he had his pull through surgery and not long after had his stoma reversal. Alejandro is a beautiful happy boy who is still struggling with some complications that come with HD. Entrecolitis being one and having bowel washouts on a regular basis. Thank fully he has a wonderful team at SCH Randwick. I want to share his story to raise awareness about HD and about how hard he fights daily!
