The story of Veronica
My name is Veronica, I am 42 years old and I am italian. I suffer from neurogenic chronic intestinal pseudobstruction, a disease of the motility of the digestiv system that causes intestinal obstruction in the absence of organic obstacles with consequent difficulty in eating. I underwent about fifteen operations on the esophagus, stomach and colon, up to the total proctocolectomy with the preparation of a definitive ileostomy. The path to diagnosis was long and difficult.
