About The Ocular Motor Apraxia Community
We are launching the Website OcularMotorApraxia.org on February 28th, in honor of Rare Disease Day. Ocular Motor Apraxia is a rare health condition in the eye, that often is accompanied by speech difficulties, balance and coordination issues, hypotonia, and developmental delays. Because OMA is a rare condition, there isn’t much information and research about it, so with this website, we are gathering all the information and make it available in one place to all the people around the world. We are hoping to raise awareness not only within the general public, but also within the medical community. When doctors lack information about OMA, patients get often misdiagnosed or are left with more questions than answers once they are diagnosed with it. This is a very important event for all the people who is affected by OMA, or have a loved one affected by it.
