About Rare Disorders New Zealand
Rare Disorders New Zealand, provides New Zealand’s central starting point for information about rare diseases. RDNZ maintains a register of New Zealand health and disability support and information groups for rare and common disorders. We help people to find a support group; find information about rare disorders; and connect with people looking for similar information, as well as providing resources and information for rare disease support groups. RDNZalso closely monitors rare disease issues and policy matters; and builds partnerships between patients/families, support groups, clinicians, researchers, policy-makers and industry.
RDNZ has been involved with Rare Disease day over the last few years, holding a range of events. RDNZ encourages the rare disease groups in New Zealand to hold events this Rare Disease Day.
