About PubhD Leicester
PubhD Leicester is an event where 3 researchers of any discipline (mostly PhD, postdoc, EngD etc students) talk about their work in a local pub in Leicester. PubhD has a very simple format whereby no PowerPoint presentations are used, only a whiteboard and pens are allowed to enable our researchers to explain their work. Each speaker has 10 minutes to talk which will then be followed by a 20 minute Q&A on their topic.
In aid of Rare Disease Day, we are inviting 3 speakers who are doing any form of research to do with rare diseases and hope to raise awareness of these diseases by doing so. Usually we offer our speakers a free drink for participating but we will instead use the money raised to donate to appropriate charities (dependant on our speakers).
