About King’s Day Out, LLC
The King’s Day Out LLC is a company with one mission – to empower kiddos as they navigate life’s adventures. We began with the idea for a book series designed to be a resource for all children, families, schools and pediatric medical professionals. The first book, King’s Day Out ~ The Car Wash, launched February of 2021. These books provide concrete examples of common tools used to support children at home, in the classroom and in the world. Co Founders and authors, Dr. Amy Wheadon, OTD, OTR/L who has over 21 years of experience as a pediatric occupational therapist, and Maggie van Galen, an award winning children’s author, storyteller and writer, soon discovered there was more to helping that just writing books. We have developed the KDO Partner Program (www.kingsdayout.com/kdo-partner-program) to work with organizations that focus on rare diseases to help raise funds and awareness and to provide unwavering support.
For Rare Disease Day, we will create several social media posts from Instagram and Facebook (@kingsdayout) to promote the “Day” as well as to work with our current partners, FRAXA.org and Dup15Q Alliance, to further the effort of raising awareness for them.
