About Institute for Rare Diseases
The Institute for Rare Diseases at the Human Genetics Institute at the Sheba medical Center was the first and one of its kind in Israel, since 2014 providing services touching all aspects related to rare disease patients and families – clinical, diagnostic, research, raise of awareness, education, teaching, genetic counseling, coordination of treament and follow up, etc.
The staff at the Institute for Rare Diseases at the Sheba Medical Center is an official coordinator by the Ministry of Health for the ORPHANET webpage in Israel.
The Institute for Rare Diseases organizes and hosts the Annual International Rare Disease Day Conference in Israel around the last day of February each year.
