About A.R.I.S. (Associazione Retinopatici ed Ipovedenti Siciliani)
The association A.R.I.S. (Association of the Visually Impaired and retinopathy Sicilian) is a not-for-profit (non-profit), established in 1991 with the aim to provide assistance, information, development of scientific research, prevention, care and psychological support to the visually impaired. The Association has, over the years, expanded its horizons and goals, reaching such specific skills and to become a privileged interlocutor for public bodies, associations, universities and scientific societies. A big strength of the association is related to being placed into a solid network. In fact the A.R.I.S. locally signed program agreements and agreements with some of the most important institutions both public and private, is federated at national level in Italy and the Low Vision Retina Academy Italy and internationally in Retina International, in addition to the Union non-profit Society and Health – NPO.
