Description
At the Department of Fundamental Medicine, Faculty of Medicine and Healthcare of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, an event was held as part of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 3, “Good Health and Well-being” dedicated to Rare Disease Day. This event aimed to raise public awareness of rare diseases, their diagnosis, treatment, and social support for patients.
Orphan diseases represent a group of rare pathologies characterized by diagnostic challenges and limited treatment options. In Kazakhstan, as well as worldwide, this issue requires special attention from the medical community, governmental institutions, and scientific organizations.
