We are happy to announce the opening of the Pulmonary Hypertension Center for Pediatric patients in Lviv city on Rare Disease Day.
Center will work on the basis of the cardiac surgery department of the St. Nicholas Children’s Hospital. The center is the result of the joint efforts of St. Nicholas Hospital management, the team of doctors of the children’s cardiac surgery department and the “Sister Dalila” Charitable Foundation, the Pulmonary Hypertension Ukrainian Rare Disease Association (PHURDA) to ensure detection, high-quality diagnosis, and treatment of children who are facing this serious disease.
In the PH Center, children and their families will find the necessary support, information and resources for effective treatment of pulmonary hypertension. It will offer access to modern diagnostic methods, as well as educational programs to raise awareness about this disease.
The center also strives for constant improvement of available treatment and support methods, so that every child fighting the disease has the opportunity to live a happy and healthy life, to have access to modern medicines.
Also, PHURDA and St. Nicholas Children’s Hospital have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to improve the situation of PH patients.
