This year, one of the buildings of the National Specialized Children’s Hospital “Ohmatdyt,” which were damaged by a russian missile attack on July 8, 2024, will be illuminated to mark Rare Disease Day 2025.
The NGO “Rare Diseases of Ukraine” is organizing the illumination to draw attention to the challenges faced by Ukrainian rare disease patients amidst the ongoing war and to raise awareness within the international community about their needs and resilience.
From February 27 to February 29, starting at 18:00 until 23:00 in Kyiv, the damaged buildings of “Ohmatdyt” will shine as a symbol of hope, perseverance, and unity in the face of adversity.
This initiative underscores the importance of standing with Ukrainian rare disease patients during these unprecedented times and amplifies their voices on a global scale. Join us in recognizing their strength and the collective efforts to support them.
