Description
Cold Water Dip in aid of Rare Ireland.
Rare Ireland (RI) is a parent run charity, supporting families living with rare conditions in Ireland. The charity was established in 2017 by two mothers, Laura Egan and Louise O’Keeffe, after both families witnessed the lack of support and information available to them at the time of their daughter’s diagnosis. Both families had been handed the name of life altering conditions with no support provided to them.
The volunteer run charity provides practical and financial support, to the families living with Rare conditions. RI subsidise a variety of therapies and genetic counselling /consultations that wouldn’t be accessible to some families due financial constraints.
Rare Ireland’s funding is raised through direct fundraising. We do not receive any funding from the government.
300,000+ families are affected by Rare Diseases in Ireland, 1:17.
Please support us to help our rare families, at Spanish Point on the 24th February from 1pm to raise awareness for Rare Disease Day on 29th February.
