Conversation about rare diseases promoted by the Interdisciplinary Academic League of Medical Genetics of UFSCar in mention of the 2019 Rare Disease Day

The Interdisciplinary Academic League of Medical Genetics of UFSCar will promote a discussion open to the University’s community and the society of São Carlos with the goal to sensitize and to make the audience aware about rare genetic diseases and the necessity of the inclusion of people with those diseases in society. To reach it, we will have guests like, Mrs. Jô Nunes, foundress and member of the Brazilian Association of Williams Syndrome (ABSW, in portuguese), Mrs. Priscila Cappellari, president of the Brazilian Association of Relatives and Friends of Bearers of Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome (ARTS, in portuguese) and Mr. Luciano Menezes, member of the aMMigos Group (Group of Bearers of Mitochondrial Myopathy), besides the Association for Training, Guiding and Development of the Exceptional (ACORDE, in portuguese) of São Carlos.
