Mauritius began celebrating Rare Disease Day in 2012.
Rare Disease Day 2020 was marked by the dissemination of flyers and posters to hospitals, private clinics and local pharmacies to help in awareness raising efforts. A ‘Show your rare, show your hand’ campaign was also held to celebrate the occasion.
