Patient organisations in Costa Rica joined Rare Disease Day in 2012. Rare Disease Day in Costa Rica focuses on making the day a fun and memorable event for children living with a rare disease, as well as raising awareness. It enables their families to get together and share experiences and information. A media campaign throughout the country during the last week of February puts rare diseases in the public eye.
Croatia celebrated Rare Disease Day 2020 with a ‘Click for Rare’ campaign, which raised money for the Relief Line for patients living with rare diseases. There was a ‘Together for Rare’ event held in central Zagreb bringing together all members of the community.Â
