Rare Disease Day activities have taken place in Serbia since 2009. Over the years, events have included awareness raising campaigns in major cities, lectures, open panel discussions, and a fundraising stand-up show. 

Rare Disease Day 2020 in Serbia was marked with the launch of the Program and Action Plan for Rare Disease which was adopted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia. This important document will significantly improve the status of patients with rare diseases. In addition, a Stand Up comedy evening was held to raise awareness and make the public aware of the problems faced by patients and their families.
