On Saturday 25th February Rare Ireland Family Support Network will have Irish artist Sean Corcoran The Art Hand create a unique & striking sand art mural at Kilmurrin Cove, Co. Waterford.
We invite our rare community, families, extended family, friends, allies of the rare community & the general public to come along on the day & show their support for raising awareness of rare diseases in Ireland. Estimated 300k plus persons living with a rare disease in Ireland. 70-80% of rare conditions are genetic in origin & 70% of those develop in childhood. We are proud to provide family support & information to our 1.6k plus families of children & adults living with a rare condition.
Join us from 1pm onwards to see the art work progress to the finished piece at approx. 3pm. Stand proud with the rare community, take photos & enjoy the afternoon. Don’t forget to share on social media & tag us at @RareIreland
Back in 2021 in the middle of Lockdown we had Seán create a sand art mural however, due to the restrictions only two of our families were close enough to attend. So this year we are excited to have the opportunity whereby many more of us can attend.
