The story of Teddy
Teddy has Peters plus Syndrome – Peters plus syndrome is an inherited condition that is characterized by eye abnormalities, short stature, an opening in the lip (cleft lip) with or without an opening in the roof of the mouth (cleft palate), distinctive facial features, and intellectual disability.
Peters plus syndrome is a rare disorder. Fewer than 80 people with this condition have been reported worldwide.
Teddy is of very short stature, he is nearly 2 and roughly the size of a 6-9 month old baby, He is registered severely sight impaired – he is completely blind in one eye and has very limited vision in his other. Teddy also has developmental delay/intellectual disability – but this does not stop him!
Teddy has overcome so many hurdles we and his specialist were not sure he would! Teddy is the happiest little boy you will ever meet, he is loving, playful and very cheeky!!
