About Unidad de Diagnóstico de Enfermedades Raras UDER (Rare Diseases Diagnostic Unit)
The Rare Diseases Diagnostic Unit (UDER) is the first Specialized National Center in Mexico, focused on the evaluation and personalized diagnosis of patients with rare diseases.
The Unit is dependent on the Research Division of the Faculty of Medicine of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, it has medical specialists with extensive experience in clinical and genetic diagnosis of this type of disease and also develops Research and Teaching activities in this area.
For Rare Disease Day we are planning to make an event were medical experts will talk about their experience with rare diseases, patients will share their testimonies and patient organizations wil show how they help patients with rare diseases. The event will be open for all public.
