The story of Joshua

Hello, my name is Joshua. For 13 years of my life I thought I was a normal kid. Playing games, going to after school clubs, hanging out with friends, but the worst was yet to come.

On the 25th of October 2018 I was rushed into hospital as I had suddenly fallen unconscious in school… tests were done on me and it turned out I had this massive tumour in the centre of my brain.

I was moved to another hospital. The Queen Elizabeth Hospital for sick children in Glasgow.

I spent 19 days in hospital… the tumour was removed but another grow during my stay… thankfully it was a kidney tumour not another brain tumour.

After the removal of my brain tumour I went completely blind out my right eye. I also have red markings covered all over my face I’ve told by my doctor that this is another sign of (TSC)

But I don’t let my condition / disease define me as a person! I’ve walked the west highland way, I’ve climbed over 10 monroes and so much more.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story.

Joshua
