The story of Geraldine
At 12 i noticed lesions on my neck. My gp referred me to a dermatologist who took a biopsy and diagnosed me with pseudoxanthoma elssticum. My parents got a big fright as they were told i would probably lose alot of sight and could have vascular issues. I have angioid streaks in both eyes and get checked annually and thankfully have had no bleeds as yet. I have a slight murmur and the last two years have back and leg issues and use a walking stick. Constantly having to explain my condition to doctors is difficult as is same with all rare disorders.
