The story of Stacey
I’m 35 years old and I’ve spent the past 15 years being told I was faking my symptoms, I was a drug seeker, it’s all in your head, I didn’t look sick, but my favorite line came from one of my doctors, he said “You must not love your husband” February 2021 I finally got a diagnosis from the Mayo Clinic. I have Ehlers Danlos, POTS, Multiple Sclerosis and Lupus. Every day is a struggle between the pain, fatigue, and lack of appetite but I do not allow a disease to define who I am or what I do. I tell others who are going through the same nightmare as I did “don’t give up, do ask questions and do your own research, because you are your only and best advocate”
