The story of Alicia
I was born with Spina Bifida and have gone through many surgeries in my life. But my motto is to prove to people that I am more than Spina Bifida. I walked in my walker to receive my high school diploma, I graduated from U of I in Springfield with my bachelors in 2 majors and a minor. I am currently working outside of the home as a latchkey teacher and on the side, I do social media and website managing. I also drive my own vehicle with hand controls. I am more than my disease and I want to show people that we’re people too, just that we do a lot of things differently than some people do.
