The story of Sheena
Hello I became jaundiced 10 years ago when I was 55 years old .I saw my doctor who did blood rests for my liver which came back abnormal.I was referred to the hospital they did further tests plus a liver biopsy which confirmed that I had Autoimmune Hepatitis I had never heard of this disease. .I was put on high doses of steroids and I was yellow.I felt terrible and the steroids made me diabetic so another tablet was added .azathioprine was started and I was in agony with abdominal pain I was admitted to hospital this time 10 years have gone I do as the doctors say I take medication blood tests scans I have faced poor care because nurses think I am infectious The fatigue is the worst for me Daily life isn’t easy but I hope to be here for a bit longer Thank You
