The story of Jessica
Alexander was born with a rare, de novo, chromosomal deletion (22q13.3). With a healthy pregnancy it was a complete surprise when he was born with breathing difficulties and jaundice. He also had hypotonia which we addressed with a neurologist at 3months. Alexander has been in therapy since 5months and even though therapist and doctors weren’t sure he would walk he walked at 19months. He is a happy, loving boy who loves roller coasters. He’s non-verbal and not potty trained. Alexander is our angel who teaches us unconditional love, not to sweat the small stuff and to be grateful for even the tiniest milestone achievements. We are so blessed to have him in our lives.
