The story of Amy
Hello! I’m Jude and I have Hirschsprungs. I was born and sent home from the hospital even though I never pooped. The hospital made a mistake and that’s ok. We all make mistakes. A few days came and went and still no poop. My Mommy and Daddy took me to Nationwide Children’s Hospital after being misdiagnosed a few times by my pediatrician. It took the amazing team of doctors at Nationwide weeks and many biopsies to diagnose me with Hirschsprung’s. I had my pull through surgery at six weeks. I had no complications after the surgery. Just entercolitis a few times. Today I am a happy and healthy 6yr old. For all my Rare Disease friends out there, you are not alone 🙂
