The story of Encarnación
Celia is a 19 year old lovely girl, she was diagnosed when she was 17. Our life was full different drawbacks in her condition and some peaceful periods. She is lively and warm when she has the right medication, but there are some changes which are very difficult to monitor with treatments. Severe seizures appear this present year.
Our life is full of love, resilience, patience and care for her.
She enjoys simple things live walking, dancing, playing with her cats, getting on the bus… and needs help for everything.
As her mother I strongly want her to have quality of life and a bit of happiness. Let’s hope some researchers get interested in SYNGAP1 and bring us some light.
